The Big Well inspires those who experience difficulty

City of Greensburg employees Jared Shriver and Cale Thompson went all the way down into The Big Well last week in Kiowa County to gather buckets of “good luck” coins that were then prepped and taken to the 2023 Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson.“It’s hard to estimate how many coins there really are down there each year,” said Big Well Museum and Information Director Heather Coyne Bailey.

Skyline High School band enjoys state fair success

Although the date September 11 might hold ominous memories for Americans above the age of 25, it was the perfect day this year for Skyline High School band students to celebrate freedom and take part in some good old-fashioned competition at the Kansas State Fair.The Skyline Thunderbird Marching Band performed last Monday in Hutchinson for a delighted gathering of family, friends and fair-goers.
