Pratt Community College’s Athletics Department is excited to be adding another new fact to its ranks. The cheer squad is adding a second coach, Kaylee Wheeler.
Wheeler’s path to coaching for Pratt was aided by her husband, Thomas, who joined the baseball team’s staff in August. Kaylee is a very ambitious and dedicated coach, who will definitely help the squad grow and develop.
She boasts 13 years of experience cheerleading. The love for the sport that she developed over those years is what attracts her about coaching. She wants to be able to continue pursuing her passion! When asked, she specifically said how excited she was to be working with the team’s head coach Shelbie Bennet. The two of them believe they can become a dynamic duo of sorts.
The main priority that Coach Wheeler has is to “get back to winning National Championships.” She is hoping to grow the program over the next few years and to regain the skills and talent that Pratt Cheerleading once attracted.
