Weapons, drugs, and animals taken in search by Stafford County Sheriff’s Department; two arrests made

The Stafford County Kansas Sheriff’s Office initiated a search warrant on March 28, 2025 at 117 N Spickard Avenue in Macksville, Kansas which resulted in a recovery of stolen firearms, drugs, and multiple animals.

The entry and search was conducted by the Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Macksville Police Department, St. John, Kansas Police Department, Stafford Police Department, Stafford K9 Unit, Kansas Highway Patrol, KHP K9 Unit, Kansas Wildlife & Parks and Stafford County Communications Tactical Unit.

In the course of the entry, two individuals were taken into custody, Jeremy Luce (age 47) and Desiree Parks (age 37).

During the search Law Enforcement recovered: firearms, ammunition, explosives, crossbows, methamphetamine, fentanyl, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, electronic devices, 17 dogs, 3 pigs, 2 pythons, and a salamander from inside the home.

Both individuals were transported to Barton County Jail with the following charges:

Luce –

Charge 1 – Possession of Methamphetamine

Charge 2 – Possession of Paraphernalia

Charge 3 – Felon in Possession of Firearm

Charge 4 – Child Endangerment

Charge 5 – Animal Abuse

Charge 6 – Possession of Explosives

Charge 7 – Identity Theft

Charge 8 – Distribution of Stimulants within 1000 feet of a school

Charge 9 – Possession of Marijuana

His bond is set at $200,000

Parks –

Charge 1 – Possession of Methamphetamine

Charge 2 – Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Charge 3 – Child Endangerment

Charge 4 – Animal Abuse

Charge 5 – Identity Theft

Charge 6 – Distribution of Stimulants within 1000 feet of a school

Charge 7 – Possession of Marijuana

Her bond is set at $150,000
