Pratt library fall FUNdraiser this Thursday
October 9 – Pratt Public Library Fall Festival Fundraiser, 3:30-6:30 p.m. Games of all kinds! Popcorn, goodies, book fortune telling, petting zoo, dairy goats, pumpkin decorating – all this for tickets. Bring the family out to support your public library and funds raised go to ensure future great, family friendly events to Pratt and the surrounding area!
BBQ Fest at the Front Porch
October 11 – The Front Porch, Pratt, KS – 11 a.m.-1 p.m. All are invited to dig into some great homemade BBQ from the men of Abundant Harvest Church of the Nazarene! Grab lunch at the Front Porch or fill out an order sheet to buy by the pound and take home. All funds go to help our teens going to Nazarene Youth Conference in Salt Lake City next summer.
Come to the annual historical meeting
October 12 – Pratt County Historical Meeting invites the public to a special annual meeting with a feature program by Thad Henry – How Pratt got its free library after the Civil War. Meet at the museum, 208 S. Ninnescah Street, Pratt, start time 1:30 p.m., on Sunday, October 12. All are welcome.
Ladies Night Out in Pratt
October 16 – Participating Pratt businesses will be open 5:30 – 8 p.m. for the annual Ladies Night Out event. At The Filley, Janet Rode will read at 6 p.m. and gift shoppe is open with original art, unique gifts, and beautiful finds to fit every budget. Refreshments served.
Quilters unite for public show
October 18 – Pratt Area Quilters’ Guild is inviting the public to attend their Quilt Show on Saturday, October 18. The hours will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church at 100 N. Jackson. Please enter the south doors to the church. Suggested donation is $5.
Trunk or Treat in Pratt
October 31 – Join us for the Pratt Presbyterian Church’s First Annual Trunk or Treat, 3-5 p.m. between Ninnescah and Oak St. just one block from downtown on 1st St./HWY 54 at Pratt Presbyterian Church. November 15 – The Miss Southern Kansas Organization is hosting their local competition in Greensburg. Titles awarded include: Miss Southern Kansas, Miss Heart of Kansas, Miss Southern Plains, Miss Pride of the Plains.
