According to Gallup surveys and university studies found online, student-athletes are more likely to be “thriving” in four of the five key areas of well-being than non-athletes in today’s education systems. These areas include the purpose, social, community, financial, and physical domains. Differences in well-being between student-athletes and non-athletes are seen among across all gender and race classes.
Learning to be coachable, work as a member of a team, and achieve goals are just a few reasons why student-athletes often rise to the top of their chosen pathways in life, long after their high school and college athletic careers have ended.
The Tri-County Tribune recognizes the hard work, sacrifice, and dedication that our local athletes have given to their teams and individual sports throughout this fall 2024 sports season. Congratulations to the football, volleyball, cross country, tennis, and golf stars who have kept us entertained throughout their high school careers and the teams who have worked together representing our area to the best of their ability.
