The Preston 4-H Club held a special December meeting at Parkwood Village on December 15 at 4:30 p.m. in Pratt. President Rylan Rockenbach called the meeting to order. Junior Secretary Morgan Smith led the club in roll call, which was answered with your favorite Christmas song. There were 10 members, 1 clover bud, and 1 community leader present.

Minutes from last month’s meeting were not available. There was no treasurer’s report available. Reporter Jackson Piester reported last month’s meeting to the Tri-County Tribune where it was published.

Community leader Luke Hoeme handed out 4-H ribbon money from the 2024 Pratt County Fair. He also reminded members of upcoming events, including the Lady Wildcat Basketball Day at K-State, junior swine producer day, and junior sheep producer day.

There was no unfinished business to come before the club. There were no new business or announcements. Leader Luke Hoeme provided a next-meeting reminder for January 27, at 7 p.m. at the Preston Senior Center.

Weston Hoeme moved to adjourn the meeting. Lincoln Piester seconded the motion. The motion passed. For our December program, we sang Christmas carols at Parkwood Village, Grand Plains, and Pratt Health & Rehab. We also brought clothing items to donate to the Hope Closet for a community service project. The Jackson family delivered donated items to the Hope Closet.
