Area crafters, quilters, and seamstresses need fret no more on where to find high quality fabric for their projects. Treasures Three Fabric Shop owner Karen Horn has stepped into a regional void and moved her store location from S. Main Street to 105 West First Street in Pratt. The move increased the size of the store, parking available for patrons, and the visibility from the highway. There is much more room for stockpile of 100 percent cotton fabric bolts coveted by quilters and crafers alike.

Horn said she channeled her love of sewing and crafting (especially quilting) into a dream business in 2015 with an online business. After retiring from her regular 9 to 5, she opened a shop location in Pratt in September 2023. In April of 2025, the business was moved to its current location, formally occupied by Balloons and More.

A riot of color that is both stimulating to the senses and relaxing greets those who step through the newly remodeled outlet. This juxtaposition of emotions is often associated with modern quilting, as the advancements of technology in the textile industry of dyeing and fiber composition have allowed for more varied and vibrant colors in fabric, and the methodical methods required for quilting. There are quilting kits available with everything needed to get started.

In the back room, Sue’s Ultimate Embroidery has taken up residence, with all of the thread color choices on display and a separate entrance opening out to Jackson Street.

Another great and much-needed service is sewing machine repair and maintenance, available through a partnership with Bill’s Sewing Center out of Hutchinson. This service is available by appointment on the first Wednesday of every month. Starting in the summer of 2025, sewing and quilting classes will be offered by Lynn Hillard.

Locally owned and operated, Treasures Three is a fine example of the kind of unique shopping experience that Pratt has to offer. Horn and DeWeese invite all to stop in and take a look around. Inspiration to create awaits.
