Kansas Connections Academy, a tuition-free, full-time online public school, is now enrolling students in grades K-12 for the 2025-26 school year. Founded in 2010, the school offers a personalized approach to learning, helping students thrive in a flexible, supportive online environment.

Building on last year’s foundation, this refined offering integrates traditional academic subjects with industry-leading, career-focused options like IT, business, health sciences and marketing. This program equips students with durable skills like leadership, critical thinking and teamwork. Students can participate in career exploration and industry networking opportunities to build confidence, make connections and find direction to prepare for their future.

Kansas Connections Academy proudly serves approximately 1,200 students each year, offering a unique virtual learning-from-home education experience. Thespecially designed curriculumemphasizes both academics and building fundamental life skills, while allowing students to learn at their own pace. As an accredited online public school, faculty are equipped with resources to guide and mentor students at all stages of their educational journey.

“We see so many success stories of students overcoming academic and personal challenges when they transition to a new school model,” said Laura Hochman, K-8 principal at Kansas Connections Academy. “As educators, our goal is to provide a positive environment where students have the flexibility to explore their passions with a strong support system designed to empower them. We’re happy to meet students where they are with offerings ranging from advanced courses to individual learning plans.”

Lisa Yarberry, an Olathe, Kansas resident, transferred each of her three daughters to Kansas Connections Academy over the last four years. “Our family has previously enrolled in both brick-and mortar public schooling and parent-led homeschooling. As our children’s academic needs grew, we had to find something that provided the flexibility similar to homeschooling, while allowing me the time to work from home,” said Yarberry. “Kansas Connections Academy was the answer, offering both academic excellence and an incredibly supportive learning environment. One of the standout features of the school is the dedication of its teachers. They are always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that students succeed.”

Kansas Connections Academy offers various opportunities for social connection through in-person field trips, online clubs, and interest-based activities, creating a community that allows students to connect with peers, explore their passions and develop lasting friendships.
