There was plenty of candy to go around on Halloween this year in Pratt. Downtown trick-or-treaters filled their buckets, baskets, bags, and pockets during the annual Pratt Area Chamber of Commerce Trick-or-Treat Trail, area skilled care centers offered candy of all kinds to those in costumes who came to visit, the Kansas Department of Wildlife Education Center was a hub of Halloween activity, and then there were those who tried the traditional route of going door-to-door.

Families with children, friend groups, and people in costumes of all types and all ages were out enjoying a perfect weather night for Halloween fun last Thursday evening in Pratt.

There were no official reports of accidents or injuries and postings on social media indicated that there was much candy left over after the evening’s activity, despite a great turnout of characters.
