Jewell Glover from 21 Central District K-State Research and Extension agency visited USD #351 Macksville last week for career and life planning education.

Glover had students participate in activities that utilized career and life skills that will be useful in any job that students may hold in their lives.

They completed a Knot Exchange, Helium Pole activity, and UFO ball activity that demonstrated what happens when one person doesn’t do their job and the impact that it has on the entire group. They finished up with a debriefing that allowed students to pick a postcard that Best reflected their experience and to write a note to themselves that they will get back at the end of the year.

Student reported that is was a fun and engaging experience.
