Free developmental screening for children

A free screening clinic for children from birth to 5 years of age will be held in Greensburg to help parents determine if their child’s development is age-appropriate on Friday, September 13, at the Greensburg Mennonite Church, 310 W. Pennsylvania Av. Appointments required; call (620) 672-7500 so we can accomplish an appropriate screening.

End of Summer Beach Party Night – Rolla-Rena Skate Center

September 14 – Adult end of summer beach party night fundraiser in Pratt, 9 p.m., on Saturday, September 14. This is for those aged 21 & older only, beach attire optional. Adult beverages allowed plus live music by SPACE MADNESS from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Rolla Rena Skate Center.

Trivia Night at Ida Long Goodman Memorial Library

September 17 – Doors open at 6:30 p.m., Trivia Night begins at 7 p.m. Bring your family, friends, neighbors etc. Prizes will be given to the top three teams. Held at 406 N. Monroe, St. John. Call 620-549-3227 to reserve a spot.

Business grant workshop

Sept. 18 – Stafford County EcoDevo’s Ryan Russell will go over the Heartland Regional Food Business Center’s business builder grant at 21 Central Extension office at the Stafford County Annex. Supply chain businesses can apply to receive $5,000 – $50,000. Come Wednesday, Sept. 18 at noon to hear about the grant.

Grief help in Medicine Lodge

Sept. 19 – GriefShare: Grieving a loss? Find hope and healing after the death of a loved one in this faith based weekly support group. Sign-up and orientation, Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 7 p.m., in the Fireside Room at the Medicine Lodge Methodist Church, 108 E. Second in Medicine Lodge. Sessions begin October 24 for 13 weeks. 7th Annual Pratt Oktoberfest

Sept. 21 – Pratt Oktoberfest is in September on Saturday the 21st, from 5-10 p.m. at Lemon Park with yard games, polka band, stein holding contest, food trucks and cold beverages. This event is for people age 21 & over only; all the proceeds go to local philanthropic causes.

Pratt commodities to be distributed

Sept. 25 – Commodities (Dept. of Child and Family Services) Pratt County residents may come to the Pratt Community Center, 619 N. Main to pick up commodities from 2-5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25 (4th Wed. every other month). Government income guidelines apply.

Save the date for Stafford Oktoberfest

Oct. 4, 5 – Stafford County celebrates 35th Annual Oktoberfest with a parade, beer garden, magic show, street dance, carnival games, inflatables and arcade trailer, traditional games, cornhole, duck race, music, dancing, bingo and more. www.oktoberfeststaffordks.com.
