Skyline High School presents ‘Beauty and the Beast Bed and Breakfast’
November 14 and 15 – A cast and crew of 22 students, along with directors Emilie Kenworthy and Beth Walters offer a fun (and funny!) spin-off on what happened to Beauty and the Beast in their “ever after,” this Thursday and Friday, 7 p.m. at the Skyline High School. Tickets at the door $7 for adults, $5 per child, or $15 per family.
Commodities (Dept. of Child and Family Services) scheduled
November 20 – Pratt County residents may come to the Pratt Community Center, 619 N. Main to pick up Commodities from 2-5 pm on Wednesday, Nov. 20 (usually the 4th Wed. every other month). Government income guidelines apply.
Pratt Agriculture meeting planned
November 20 – State of Agriculture in Pratt County, held at the Pratt County 4-H Building on Wednesday, November 20. Social starts at 4:30 p.m. followed by a program at 5:30 p.m. Special speaker is Dr. Dan O’Brien, who will give a U.S. Grain Market Update. Hosted by Pratt Ag Committee. Everyone is welcome.
Come to Mimi’s Open House
November 23 – Everyone is invited to Mimi’s Memories Holiday Open House, Saturday, November 23, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Wellsford, Kansas. There will be holiday cheer, prize drawing, treats, and treasures galore.
Christmas in the Park in Pratt
November 23 – The official lighting of Lemon Park Lights and Christmas in the Park will take place Saturday, November 23 in Pratt. This is an annual free event for the whole family. Festivities ongoing throughout the day, lights turned on at 5:30 p.m.
Annual Meeting for Pratt County Fair Association
November 26 – The Pratt County Fair Association is having their Annual Meeting on Tuesday, November 26 at 6 p.m. at the Pratt Area 4-H Center.
Community Thanksgiving Dinner in Pratt
November 28 – Come to the Pratt Community Center, 619 N. Main Street, at noon the Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 28, and enjoy at turkey dinner with all the trimmings, by free will donation only. Please RSVP at 620-672-7811 to make reservations by November 18. Carry-out meals available.
State football championships in Greensburg
November 30 – Kiowa County Schools are hosting three state football championships. Volunteers needed. Please call the school (620-723-2164) or contact Mr. Deterding (bdeterding@usd422.org) or Mr. Powell (tpowell@usd422.org) if interested in helping as team hosts, program sales, stadium cleanup, pass gate, t-shirt sales, or ticket takers. 8-Man Division II plays at 11 a.m., 6-Man Division at 3 p.m., 8-Man Division I at 7 p.m. in Greensburg.
