Stafford Co. Mainstreet Program

October 4 – Special community improvement meeting, Lunch and Learn, Oct. 4, from 12 noon – 12:50 p.m. at the Ida Long Goodman Memorial Library in St. John. Ryan Russell, the Executive Director of Stafford County Economic Development, will talk about how different towns in the county can participate and the benefit of being a part of such a program.

October 4, 5 – Stafford County celebrates 35th Annual Oktoberfest with a parade, beer garden, magic show, street dance, carnival games, inflatables and arcade trailer, traditional games, cornhole, duck race, music, dancing, bingo and more. www.oktoberfeststaffordks.com.

SCCF Gala to take place October 5

October 5 – The South Central Community Foundation will celebrate their 30th Anniversary Gala with a Kentucky Derby theme and special fundraising baskets. SCCF plans to have 7 baskets (one from each county served, with an additional 3 baskets made up from any county/vendor. Annual Blessing of the Animals at All Saints Episcopal Church

October 6 – All Saints Episcopal Church, 218 N. Main, Pratt, will hold their annual Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, October 6 from 12:30 – 2pm outside the church, weather permitting. Animals bless our lives so richly, take a few minutes to have theirs blessed. All animals are welcome, a free-will donation will be taken up to benefit the Pratt Humane Society.

Fall Festival FUNdraiser at Pratt Public Library

October 10 – 3:30 – 6:30PM, Games of all kinds! Pumpkin decorating! Popcorn & goodies! A Book Fortune Teller! Tickets will be sold for $1 each. Tickets will be needed to participate in the fund games & activities as well as for the treats. Bring the family out to support your public library. Fun for all ages!

Ladies Night Out at The Pumpkin Patch

October 10 – Get ready for a night of ultimate fun at our ladies night at the pumpkin patch. Offering an unforgettable evening filled with drinks, shopping, and delightful autumn vibes. St. John Community Wide Garage SALES

October 12 – Saturday, October 12, 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Register to put a garage sale on the city map by calling or stopping by the Ida Long Goodman Library – 549-3227.

New mobile health clinic in Kiowa County

Oct. 12 – Join Kiowa County Memorial Hospital for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, October 12 at 11 a.m. in their parking lot for the introduction of a new mobile health clinic. Stay for free lunch!

Gospel Nights with Ryan Stevenson

October 18 – Dove-Award Winner RYAN STEVENSON is coming to Pratt, Kansas on October 18. With six Top-10 songs on the Christian Charts Nationwide, the Grammy Nominated, Dove-Award Winning artist will perform at the Abundant Harvest Church of the Nazarene sanctinasium. Seats are limited. Fall Fest tickets available in Greensburg

Lunch & Learn First Friday – The Art of Quilting – Vernon Filley Art Museum

November 1 – Please join us for a fascinating Lunch and Learn about quilting as an art form. Sue Buhler, Teresa Farrar, and Glen Davis will present on the history of quilting and the tools used. We will also hear about how the process has evolved over the years. Guests will have the opportunity to view some very beautiful quilts during the presentation.
