Kids Fishing Derby in Pratt for all kids

July 27 – All kids from the Tri-County Tribune coverage area and beyond are invited to a free kids’ fishing derby at the Pratt County Veterans Memorial Lake, start time 8 a.m., poles and bait provided, lunch served, prizes awarded. Sponsors include Pratt Lions Club, Morgan Diesel, Pratt County Sheriff’s Department, Xtra Factors, Ike’s Foundation, and Southwest Truck Parts, Inc.

Filley Art Festival is August 1

August 1 – Art, music, and much more is planned for the first-even Filley Art Festival in Pratt, from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, August at Merchants Park and West 4th St. Vendor and artist booths have been assigned, the street will be blocked for the event. Come out for a great time with food trucks, live music, door prizes and free merchandise.

Back to School Vendor Event at the Little Blue Boutique

August 3 – Come join us for a day of fun 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Shop outside vendors, in store and grab a bite to eat from our food truck.

Primary Election voting is now

August 6 – Advance voting for the 2024 August 6 Primary Election started July 22 but if that option passed by, do not forget to vote IN PERSON at the usual designated places for each county in the Tri-County Tribune coverage area on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Check with county election websites for more information.

Monthly salad supper for seniors in St. John announced

August 12 – The Sunflower Senior Center in St. John will hold their monthly supper at 6 p.m. on Monday, August 12 open to all patrons and those wishing to know more about activities and social events for seniors in the county. This will be a salad supper; please bring a dish to share to Witts Center, 215 E. 3rd Avenue, St. John.

PRMC Family Birth Suites Birthing Class

August 17 – Childbirth classes start at 9 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 200 Commodore St, Pratt. Cost is $40 per couple payable by cash or check the day of class. Call PRMC (620)450-1670 or email: childbirthclass@prmc.org for more information.

Save the date for this car show

August 24 – Journey Back in Style at the August 24 Cruise the Square Car Show in St. John. Start time is 9 a.m., entry fee $10, prizes for top three in each class, plus $500 cash for the winner of the burnout competition at 1 p.m. All types of vehicles are welcome, many other activities ongoing with this event! City of St. John Square is located at 114 E. 4th Street in St. John.
