LARNED – Thanks to Logan Erway’s hitting, Larned held a 7-5 lead on Pratt through five innings. But Larned’s pitching and defense collapsed as Pratt scored 10 runs in the final two innings for a 15-7 Central Kansas League baseball victory.
The Pratt High School powerlifting team had a successful day at state this past week, with multiple placers and record breakers. Even the young and beginning lifters achieved new personal record bests (PRs) on multiple lifts.
The Pratt High School baseball program is looking to build on their veteran leadership and expertise, as they have 11 seniors that head the varsity squad. “I feel like we have a lot of experience on the baseball field, which is an awesome thing,” said head coach Ron Hill.

With wrestlers named in almost every weight catagory, Pratt Community College is now home to 8 KJCCC All-Conference Team selections, as announced by the state conference this past week. Leading the way as a first-team selection at 125 lbs.
March Madness isn’t over—the men’s Final Four remains to be played this coming weekend in New Orleans. But the madness itself took a bit of a hit over the weekend after reaching perhaps an all-time high Friday night.
Last year, two rules revisions involving the competitor’s uniform, along with procedural changes in several field events designed to reduce the risk of injury were made to effect changes in high school track and field and cross country for the 2022 season.
The Pratt Community College Beavers faced the Garden City Community College (GCCC) Broncbusters in a two-game Kansas Jayhawk Community College Association (KJCCC) series last week in Pratt. The Broncbusters swept the Beavers on the afternoon as Pratt fell to 1-11 overall and 0-10 in conference play.
The USD 350 St. John – Hudson Junior High Girls Basketball Team won the Central Plains League this year. Team members included: Head Coach Taci Axman, Gentri Bright, Karly Rockenbach, Lily Brummer, Mia Meyer, Reagan Bonner, Jayln Fisher, Tara Dowling, Manager Cora Martin, Assistant Coach Alisha Mawhirter, Jenny Gracia, Averi Fisher, Bree Fisher, Lily McAlister, Manager Maylin Sanders.
