For the second year in a row, the Pratt Greenbacks Varsity Baseball team has captured the Central Kansas League title, posting a 17-1 record. They have also clinched the #1 seed in the playoffs, which means that they will get to host Regionals on Tuesday, May 17.
The Pratt High School tennis team faced adversity throughout their spring season, dealing with weather issues that went beyond just wind and rain. The resurfacing project at their home courts, the Walter Blake Tennis Complex, was put behind schedule because of weather issues, causing limited court access for not only the PHS Greenbacks but also the PCC men’s tennis team which shares the facility.

The Pratt High School Boys’ Golf team has proven themselves as a force to be reckoned with. They have had great success at the past couple of meets, with multiple team and individual achievements.
The PHS Lady Greenbacks Softball team has been playing extremely well recently, and has worked hard to improve their record to a strong 12 wins and 4 losses. Head Coach Mike Forshee has been really proud of the Lady Greenbacks’ performance so far.
Pratt, Kan.- The Pratt Community College (PCC) Beaver softball season has come to an end. The team wrapped up their season with a two-game series this past Saturday, April 30 against Hutchinson Community College (HCC). The Beavers lost both games 15-2 and 22-0. They finished their season with a 3-35 overall record and a 1-31 conference record. All three wins came at home.
Do you ever ask yourself: why do I do the things that I do? Up to 370 people may have been asking that very question last weekend as they faced stiff headwinds on both the outbound and inbound journey from Pratt into the Gypsum Hills during the Open Range Gravel Race/Tour. Pedaling into a headwind with gusts of up to 40 mph is not much fun.
· 527 people signed up. 370 showed up to ride (about a 70% turn out).
An opportunity to practice or learn archery skills is being hosted again at the Blythe Fitness Center on Monday, May 9th. Pratt High School Archery members will be available to help those wanting to learn or improve archery skills. From 6-7 p.m. the archery will be available for students ages 10 to 18.
