Pratt athletes score top 10 track medals at state

Several runners, jumpers, and throwers represented Pratt High School well at the State Track meet, which was hosted by Wichita State University on May 27 and 28. Both the boys and girls competed strongly in their respective events. Including PHS, there were a total of 35 schools competing, with several kids on each. Having said that, the Pratt kids still finished solidly against the stiff competition.

Two Pratt Community College athletes earn national scholar awards

Pratt, Kan – On May 18, the National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) announced it’s third annual Scholar-Athlete Team for 2022. According to the release, the organization received a record number of nominations and this year’s team recognizes 11 student-athletes which consist of 10 different sports and six different districts throughout the country.

Pratt High School tennis team experienced a different kind of season due to court issues

The Pratt High School tennis team faced adversity throughout their spring season, dealing with weather issues that went beyond just wind and rain. The resurfacing project at their home courts, the Walter Blake Tennis Complex, was put behind schedule because of weather issues, causing limited court access for not only the PHS Greenbacks but also the PCC men’s tennis team which shares the facility.
