On May 15-17 the Pratt Community College Track and Field program competed at the JUCO National Championships in Hutchinson, Kansas. As usual, the Beavers put their best foot forward at the event. There were four new Personal Records (PR) from PCC participants.

Pratt, Kan. - The Pratt Community College (PCC) esports Overwatch 2 team recently finished their season against Pennsylvania State University (PSU) on Thursday, May 1 in the Unified Collegiate League (UCL) losers’ final. The Beavers lost 3-0 to finish third overall in back-to-back season in the UCL.

Pratt High School runners Blake Winsor, Arley Morrell, Carlito Lara, Cade Liggett made history at the 2025 Kansas State High School Track and Field Meet in Wichita this past weekend. The four Greenbacks ran the 4 x 400m relay in 3:24.27 to take first place in 4A competition, setting a new school record for the event that was almost two seconds faster than the second place team at state.
Brock Deterding of Kiowa County High School sprint fame has always been a fast kid, but the Maverick senior from Greensburg dubbed “White Lightning” by sports gurus leaves little doubt to how fast after an impressive high school track career that came to an end last weekend.
The Pratt High School boys’ golf team recently ended their 2025 season at the annual 4A State Tournament. This year, the team had an excellent performance at the regional tournament in McPherson, placing second with multiple medalists (Quinton Humble – eighth with an 84, Grant McAtee – third with a 73).
The Pratt High School Track team recently competed in the 2025 Central Kansas League Meet, which featured all the schools in the league. This year, the meet took place on Thursday, May 15, with Nickerson being the host school. Both sides of the team competed very well, and several athletes claimed individual championships in various events.
