By Jennifer Stultz Editor CherryRoad Media The Barclay College women’s volleyball team gained two new players for the coming 2022-23 season as Sariah Robinson of Colorado and Scarlett Grunbaugh of Texas have announced intentions to play for the Bears. Robinson, a graduate of Montezuma-Cortez High School in Cortez, Colorado will add strength to the Bears defense and an aggressive presence at the net, according to coaching staff.

Pratt Community College (PCC) officials have announced the hiring of Charles Keefer as the new Head eSports Coach. Keefer currently serves as the Sports Information Director on campus and will remain in that role with the addition of these new responsibilities. Former Head eSports Coach Chris Nelson will remain on campus as a full-time faculty member in the INT department.
Scott Goodheart of Pratt found a passion for officiating early on, getting his start by refereeing youth basketball while still in high school. Now married with two children, this Otis-Bison graduate, is a regular on the KSHSAA circuit officiating basketball, volleyball and softball games. He followed in the footsteps of his father, Mark Goodheart, a longtime official and a former administrator at Otis-Bison.
Pratt softball teams of all ages have had solid 2022 seasons this summer. They traveled to a variety of places and learned many new things about the game. Softball age divisions and baseball age divisions differ slightly. Softball age divisions only go up by even numbers; for example, 8 and under, then 10 and under, then 12 and under. This means that there are less teams available in Pratt, and one might have to play up a year in some cases.
