Macksville rolls into post-season playoffs with a streak of goose-eggs for recent opponents

The Macksville Mustangs High School football team clinched a definitive District 7 Championship on Friday with a 62-0 over Kiowa County High School. This win puts the Mustangs at 8-0 for the season as they look towards a match up with South Gray this Thursday, 7 p.m. at home in the first round of post-season playoffs.

Men’s soccer defend home field against Allen County

Pratt, Kan. - On Wednesday, October 12, the Pratt Community College Beavers hosted the #12 Red Devils of Allen County Community College. In what has become a rivalry between the two teams, last night’s match was not only for jockeying in the conference standings, but one where the Beavers were looking for revenge after having lost at Allen County 2-1 back on September 21.

Beavers take Barton to five sets in Beaver Dome

Pratt, Kan. - Pratt Community College hosted the Barton Community College Cougars on Monday, October 3rd for a conference matchup in front of a packed Beaver Dome. The Cougars took an early 1-0 lead after winning set one 25-15. Pratt came swinging back and took set two with a 27-25 victory. It was all Beavers in the third set as they held onto a resounding lead all the way until the end with a 25-17 victory. Barton came back in the fourth and won 25-11 to tie the match 2-2. Unfortunately, it was all Cougars in the fifth set as the Beavers were unable to score double digit points and lost the set 15-8 and the match 3-2.
