Kansas Shrine Bowl Announces $140,000 Donation to Shriners Children’s

The Shrine Bowl of Kansas, Inc. Board of Directors is proud to announce a 2025 donation of $140,000 to benefit Shriners Children’s. The net proceeds generated by the success of the organization’s 2025 events, the 52nd Kansas Shrine Bowl presented by Mammoth and the 2nd KWCA Kansas Shrine Duals, are made possible by the generosity and efforts of many. The Shrine Bowl of Kansas, Inc. Board of Directors would like to extend their heartfelt thank you to all of the staff, participants, families, supporters, ambassadors, corporate partners, advertisers, volunteers, local hosts, and nobles across Kansas who have contributed in any fashion towards this remarkable contribution that will greatly impact the lives of the many Kansas children and families who receive care at Shriners Children’s.

Skyline runners win at Larned, set sights on state

The Skyline Schools cross country teams traveled to Larned for the Abby Trapp-Prescott Classic on Thursday, September 26, and the boys’ team came home with hardware for first place. Ely Robinson finished in position 4 with Luke House and Owen Hemphill in 6 and 7, respectively. Isaac House came in at 19, with Jorden House at 22. Jacob Ary was in the 36 position, and Levi Smith was in 48 position. This combined effort won the boys the top spot for the second time this year.

Skyline volleyball wins match with Cunningham

Skyline Thunderbird volleyball began this season with some work to do. Graduating five of the six varsity starters meant that underclassmen really had to step up and be ready to fill some important positions on the court. These girls did not shy away from such a heady responsibility; rather, they worked hard to learn new positions and adjust to the increased speed of the game. The regular season is past mid-point, and it looks as if the Thunderbirds have found their rhythm and are playing better with each new match. This was never more apparent than their win in the closing match at home against the Wildcats of Cunningham on Tuesday, Sept 23.

Skyline football team wins again, undefeated so far

The Thunderbird gridiron squad put an exclamation point on fall homecoming with their 46-0 victory over the Eagles of Udall, ending the game at halftime. The Skyline High School football team is now 4-0, keeping them undefeated this season. Skyline has steadily improved overall, averaging 43 points per game on offense and holding its opponents to a descending scale of points, starting with 16, then 12, 6, and finally 0.
