PHS boys’ wrestling wins 2025 CKL title

The Pratt High School Boys’ Wrestling team recently wrapped up their regular season with the annual Central Kansas League Tournament. This tournament featured the best wrestlers from each school in the conference, and Pratt was able to prevail with a team championship and multiple individual titles. This year, the contest was held in Hesston on Thursday, February 13.

Skyline girls compete in the annual 54 Classic

On January 28, 31, and February 1, the Skyline Thunderbirds Girls’ Team got to play in the friendly confines of the Thunderdome for the 54 Classic Tournament. This was year 21 for this much-anticipated event, and as is the tradition, the boys’ and girls’ teams traded the home-court advantage with the Cunningham Wildcats just down the road. This year’s tournament was eight teams strong, including; Attica, Cunningham, Kinsley, Medicine Lodge, Norwich, Stafford, South Barber, and of course, Skyline.

Skyline girls defeat Stafford at home

On Tuesday, February 4, the Thunderbirds of Skyline High School (Pratt) hosted the Trojans of Stafford High. The teams were very familiar with each other’s game as they had multiple opportunities to see the opposition in action the previous week at the 54 Classic. This contest ended with a showdown finish, 47-41, in Skyline’s favor.
