WASHINGTON, Dec. 17, 2021 – Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack is announcing today that the Biden-Harris Administration is providing up to $1.5 billion to states and school districts to help school meal program operators deal with the challenges of supply chain disruptions brought on by the pandemic. SOUTH CENTRAL Kansas Community Foundation awards grant to Smoky Hills PBS The South Central Kansas Community Foundation has awarded Smoky Hills PBS with a grant for $1,900 to support the station’s Literacy Leadership Program. The Literacy Leadership Program of Smoky Hills PBS is an effort to engage and inspire children to be ready and eager to learn.

MARTHA WADE of Pratt is the lucky winner of the 2021 raffle quilt, as announced by Debi Withers and the Pratt Area Humane Society supporters last week. “We made just at $1,000 selling tickets at the craft show and at Hello Beautiful in Pratt,” Withers said on Monday.
