Area Agency on Aging recognizes Focal Point centers

THE KIOWA COUNTY Senior Center (Greensburg), Sunflower Senior Center of St. John, and the Stafford Senior Center are among 22 area senior centers from across the southwest part of the state named as a 2021 Focal Point by the SoutWest Kansas Area Agency on Aging (SWKAAA). The award, announced last month by SWKAAA Executive Director Rick Schaffer, recognizes programs and services provided from October 1, 2020 through September 30, 2021, for citizens of Kansas.

PRMC enforces virus precautions

Based on CDC guidance for hospitals as Omicron varient cases of the coronavirus rise across the country, and for the safety of patients and caregivers, any person NOT seeking care who cannot or refuses to wear a face covering at all times, or has a positive screening will not be permitted to enter Pratt Regional Medical Center at this time. A positive screening includes any of the following: fever, any listed COVID-19 symptoms or if answers exposure questions positively. Patients seeking care will ALWAYS be allowed in regardless of positive screening.

LOCAL NEWS

The Lemon Park Christmas Lights display has long been a seasonal favorite of local citizens and for many with or without ties to Pratt. More than 80 lighted displays are up for walking or drive by viewing from the end of November until throught the first week of January in Pratt’s Lemon Park.
