A team of senior students planned out a career fair for St. John-Hudson High School. The team of students was included Bailee Hudson, keynote speaker Kansas State Department of Education School Board member Jean Clifford, Nevaeh Fischer, Isaac Torres, Jessie Duran, Nicholas Huston, Christian Trevino, Cassandra Long, Karim Herrera, Ryan Eulenstein, and Corey Blue and teacher Joanna McAlister.

Special message announces health insurance options for Chamber members in Pratt

The Pratt Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce it is exploring a possible partnership with the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Kansas and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas to form the “Chamber Blue of Kansas.” This new association health plan will be available to all chamber members in good standing and who employ two or more W2 employees.

USDA announces plans to support American-made fertilizer to give US farmers more choices By USDA Office of Communications

WASHINGTON, March 11, 2022 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is announcing it will support additional fertilizer production for American farmers to address rising costs, including the impact of Putin’s price hike on farmers, and spur competition. USDA will make available $250 million through a new grant program this summer to support independent, innovative and sustainable American fertilizer production to supply American farmers. Additionally, to address growing competition concerns in the agricultural supply chain, USDA will launch a public inquiry seeking information regarding seeds and agricultural inputs, fertilizer, and retail markets.

Tiger Coffees: Taste-tested and student approved

Tiger Coffee offers hot lattes, iced and blended coffees available plain or made to order with caramel, vanilla, and mocha flavorings. The coffees are brewed from fresh espresso beans. Tiger Coffee is located in the St. John-Hudson High School FACS Room and operated as a schoolbased business. The cups and lids are environmentally friendly and made from 100% compostable materials. Sugar free syrups/flavorings and 1% milk are used to meet nutritional recommendations and healthy guidelines for students. Tiger Coffee coffees have been taste tested and are student approved.
