Commissioners make decisions supporting coming growth for county

The Kiowa County Commissioners convened in regular sessions on March 21, 2022. The Health Department reported that their emergency generator did not engage during the recent power outage; this has been an ongoing problem. A new unit may need to be purchased. Daughters of the Revolution

The Kanza Chapter DAR is pleased to announce the DAR Good Citizens of Stafford County. All three schools are represented this year. The students will be recognized in a special DAR meeting at the home of Alda Hildebrand on Wednesday, May 4 at 7 p.m. Each student, their parents and counselors will receive a written invitation.

New College of Education program helps Kansans change careers, become middle and high school teachers

MANHATTAN — Kansas State University’s Master of Arts in teaching program for secondary education, a pathway to teaching for career-changers in Kansas, has received approval from the Kansas State Board of Education. This approval allows Kansas schools to hire qualified candidates in the program to serve as teachers of record on a restricted license while they earn their master’s degree and recommendation for an initial teaching license.
