According to information from the Pratt Police Department, as released by Detective Jeff Ward, a 19-year-old Pratt man was arrested April 27, 2022 on charges relating to the unlawful possession of child pornography and the aggravated trafficking of child pornography through the internet.

Mansel Concrete Construction, Inc. has been working around the Square in St. John pouring concrete at the corners of three intersections. The morning of April 20 cement was being poured in the last two corners by the U. S. Post Office and Tiger Town Pizza.
For many in Pratt, Earth Day last Friday was more than just bold letters on a calendar square. The Pratt County Extension Master Gardeners used their Earth Day morning to fill the downtown planters with flowers and vegetation and a local business owner took the day off to spend time with friends and fingers in the dirt. Children even took part in a special activity at the Pratt Public Library in honor of 2022 Earth Day even though they started a day earlier.
The Stafford County Board of County Commissioners met in regular session on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, in the Commission Room in the Annex. Chairman Wycoff called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. Present: Todd Wycoff, Bryce Garner and Clayton Grimmett.

The Kansas wildfire season is typically winding down around this time of year. But after months of drought, high winds and dry grass continue to fuel extreme wildfire conditions across the state.
At 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, firefighters in many western Kansas counties were hard at work fighting grass fires, including many from Stafford County. With conditions ripe grass fires there were some tense moments when a large plume of smoke could be seen coming from a large fire in the southern part of the county.
