We sure are blessed to have a busy center! We had Grant and crew in the Greensburg center last week shooting “seniors giving seniors advice” that was shown Friday during senior night at the game. We had lots of other conversation and card games going, and the next day played dominoes and took part in an Eldercare meeting. Executive Director George M. Ryan and his assistant, Alyssa Brown, accept a 2022 Community Grant for the Twilight Theatre during a special award ceremony on Monday, October 17. “We were awarded $397 by the South Central Community Foundation and the YMAD Council towards our Twilight Theatre Lighting Project,” Brown said. “This grant will help us keep the lights on, so we can still see you at Twilight Time!”

Student Council promotes 2nd Annual “Drive to Thrive” for community For the second year in a row, the Pratt High School Student Council leaders are holding the “Drive to Thrive” challenge. This challenge is a canned food drive that will help to benefit the Pratt Food Bank.

The 2022 Pratt County Soil Conservation Speech Contest, sponsored by the local NRCS district brought seven Pratt High students to compete Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m. at Pratt Community College. Sheri Gatton from the Pratt County Conservation District planned and moderated the event.
It was not the pumpkin patch outdoors, but ladies gathered at the Sunflower Senior Center to pick out their pumpkin to decorate inside last week. A big thank you to Jill Stimatze Osborne for donating the pumpkins.
