Halloween and its roots in witchcraft and Druidic paganism are undeniable. When we examine the history of Halloween, one thing we find out very quickly is that it is based on the ancient pagan religion of the Celtics in Northern Ireland and their celebration of the festival of the dead, known as Samhain. In Northern Ireland, a class of ruthless priests known as the Druids ruled Northern Ireland through occult terror and human sacrifice for centuries.

The plan addresses water issues facing stakeholders throughout the state (KWO) has released the finalized 2022 Kansas Water Plan (KWP) this week. This is the first comprehensive water plan for the state of Kansas to be released since 2009 and provides a roadmap for navigating the vast array of water issues throughout the state.

Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Fire Prevention Education Week Oct. 9-13 many St. John students got to participate in the theme “Fire Won’t Wait, Plan Your Escape.” The Fire Prevention week is held nationwide during the week that contains October 10th to commemorate The Great Chicago Fire.

Kiowa County Farm Service Agency members received a special award during a Farm Service Agency awards ceremony on Wednesday, September 28. The Eisenhower Legacy Award Winners were invited to the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum in Abilene for a reception and meal.The event provided an opportunity to celebrate award winners, reflect on the preceding year, and share achievements.

The 21st Central Research and Extension District held an open house earlier this month to introduce current employees of the office for Stafford and Edwards county patrons.
