The Stafford Co. Historical Society was awarded a $2,000 grant from South Central Community Foundation (SCCF). This grant was awarded to support the museum’s Veterans’ Memorial Exhibit Preservation project. The work was completed a couple of weeks ago. The total cost was $5900. The additional $3900 was covered by a private donor and museum funds.

GREAT BEND, KAN. – Innovative Livestock Services (ILS) opened its doors to more than 20 students from Great Bend, Larned, Macksville and Ellinwood high schools for a hands-on, immersion experience with the ILS Farm Partnership. Students were exposed to farm operations, equipment management, water management, and more during the immersion experienced designed to introduce high school students to career opportunities in production agriculture.
