Sidman wins Christmas coloring contest at library

Ava Sidman, third grade student at Southwest Elementary, was awarded first prize in the Pratt Public Library’s Christmas Coloring Contest in conjunction with the Pratt Tribune. According to Derese McAbee, Activities Director and Makerspace Manager at the library, Sidman’s picture caught the attention of contest judges because not only was it colored attractively, she added sparkle and embellishment for an artistic and unique result.

I’ll pray for you

Have you ever heard anyone pray for you? Or maybe write out a prayer about you for you to read? During the Monday Night Football game, Damar Hamlin of the Buffalo Bills collapsed on the field with a cardiac arrest - his heart just stopped beating. Medical personnel began CPR and he’s alive and showling daily improvements.

Snow needs a place to call home

Snow is a two-year-old American Bull Dog. Snowball, Snowman, Snowmobile, Snowdog, Snowy are just a few names he has from us at the Pratt Area Humane Society where he loves attention. He needs a home with no cats, and is dog selective as well (so we will require a meet and greet with any dogs residing in the home). Snow is a sweet boy but very strong and lacking in the manners department. However, this sweet dog has lots of potential, he just needs someone with patience and understanding of his breed to give him a chance.
