The Kansas Department of Transportation has released information about two bridge repair projects on U.S. Highway 183 in Kiowa County that will begin March.
The bridges that will be reparied are north of Greensburg. One is the South Branch Rattlesnake Creek bridge, about 3.75 miles north of U.S. Highway 54/400. The other is over Rattlesnake Creek, about six miles north.
The work will begin around March 3 and last until about the end of November. During time of construction the highway will remain open but traffic will be restricted to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction. KDOT will control traffic through the work zone with an automated traffic signal.
