PCC softball wins first conference game

Pratt, Kan. – The Pratt Community College (PCC) Beavers hosted the Northwest Kansas Technical College (NWKTC) Mavericks at the Green Sports Complex on Wednesday, April 13. The Beavers played away from Angood Field for the second time this season due to weather conditions. Northwest Tech entered the afternoon with only two conference wins coming against Pratt.

Rotary celebrates 100 years, makes community donations, sponsors student award

The Rotary Club of Pratt celebrated their 100-year anniversary in February with a special centennial event with more than 70 members and distinguished guests attending a dinner, program, and champagne toast. Rotary #5680 District Governor Fred Heismeyer, District Governor-Elect Ivanhoe Love, and Assistant Governor Bob Obee were in attendance to commemorate the event and they joined guests in a special champagne toast to celebrate the past and begin the next 100 years.

Business scene sees growth in Pratt

Progress is springing forth in Pratt these days with signs of new business beginnings visible in several areas of town. A new shopping store, Mexican food truck and hotel renovation have been announced, other business-dealings have been completed or are in the works, according to city leaders.
