On June 29, 2021, mill wright manager Kelly Foster was taking measurements to complete construction on a new elevated flaker room in Ashland when he fell through an opening and landed on a concrete slab 21-feet below, suffering fatal injuries.

Family business pursues best customer service possible

Mansel Concrete Construction, Inc. has been working around the Square in St. John pouring concrete at the corners of three intersections. The morning of April 20 cement was being poured in the last two corners by the U. S. Post Office and Tiger Town Pizza.

Pratt students share successes with school board at April meeting

Students talked about their recent successes in various extra-curricular activities at the recent April 11, 2022 USD 382 Board of Education meeting. Rose Beilman, PHS teacher and Forensics Coach, spoke to board members and those present about the National Forensics Competition, which will be held in Louisville June 12th - 17th.

Local clinic offers many health services in St. John

Farmer Clinic, Rural Health Clinic in St. John, began in 1989. The Farmer Clinic has a staff of five that includes Fredrick J. Farmer, III, D.O., Margaret Myers, ARNP, Melissa Dove, RN, Erin Strohl, RN, and Jessie Blakeslee, Receptionist. Farmer Clinic is affiliated with Pratt Regional Medical Center.
