It’s almost time for farmers market sales at Merchant Park

The Pratt Farmers Market at Merchant Park organization is extending the welcome mat to all area home-produced vendors by waiving fees for the 2022 season of selling. The new season begins the first Saturday in June at the corner of Fourth and Main streets in Pratt, and extends through the last Saturday of October.

Click It or Ticket is happening now

Just make it click. The instant you buckle up before driving or riding in the front seat of a car or truck, you cut your risk of a fatal injury in a crash nearly in half. That’s a massive return on the investment of putting on a seatbelt. Being buckled up during a crash helps keep you safe and secure inside your vehicle, as being ejected from a vehicle is almost always deadly. Additionally, your vehicle’s other safety features, particularly air bags, can’t work as effectively if you’re not buckled upthey are designed to work together.

In each struggle, God is there

I am a mother of three children. Yes! One is married and lives in his own house with his wife and three children, but our other two adult children who will be 25 and 27 in just a few weeks have moved back home for various reasons, which I won’t get into today. Just know they are both completely capable of supporting themselves right now and have proven that fact. But because of the day and age we live, at this point in all our lives, we have all decided it is both financially and physically smart for us to all live together. So we do! Now I am not gonna lie,

Coincidence or God at work?

The story of Phillip meeting a man reading from Isaiah on a desolate road from Jerusalem to Gaza is found in Acts 8:26-39. This story is pretty direct in telling us the Spirit was at work. Phillip was told to walk over to this road, to climb into the chariot with the man. They started talking and Phillip started preaching Jesus. This brief encounter ended up with a baptism!

Developing an effective prayer life

Prayer is a familiar word that we hear every day and is usually associated with something being wrong and needing to be fixed. I receive emails and texts on a regular basis from those who are having a crisis and call on me to pray for them and I certainly do. For Christians, being in agreement with the prayers of others is a blessing and responsibility as the power of God is increased and multiplied. For those who are not familiar with talking to God, it’s common for them to call others who they believe can plead with the Lord on their behalf.
