The Pratt Swim Team had many qualifiers at Semi-finals on June 28 in Cunningham that will swim for top medals on Friday. “It was a great meet today!” said team coach Tonja Harrison.

Governor declares drought emergency, warnings and watches for Kansas counties
Effective June 27, Governor Laura Kelly has approved updated drought declarations for Kansas counties with Executive Order #22-06. This drought declaration places all 105 Kansas counties either in watch, warning or emergency status.
Greenback Hall of Fame 2022 inductees named
David Swank, Pratt High School Assistant Principal and Athletics Director has announced the 2022 inductees to the Greenback Hall of Fame Class. Carter Barker, Ray Immell, Tobin Melroy,and Lieutenant Colonel John R. Schwartz will be honored later this year with a special celebration during PHS Homecoming activities on Friday, October 7.

A new organization has been formed in Stafford County under Kansas law that supports addicted persons in recovery to stabilize their lives. Grace Walk, Inc. is the new 501c3 not-for-profit organization.
City police release activity data
For the week of June 20th - June 26th, your Pratt Police Department responded to and investigated the following: 70 calls for service, resulting in 13 Misdemeanor and 2 Felony investigations, making 4 arrests. Officers responded to 5 traffic collisions and conducted 146 traffic stops. Additionally, 2 officers attended court hearings.
Pratt Elks Lodge to celebrate 100 years
Pratt Elks Lodge #1451 marked 100 years on June 20, 2022, and is planning their centennial celebration for August 6 with a dinner, program, and dance. Pratt Elks received its charter June 20, 1922, and was sponsored by the Hutchinson, Kansas Elks lodge.
Holaday treats all wound-care patients at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital in Great Bend
Since Heather Holaday, nurse practitioner, has completed advanced training in wound care, she now provides all treatment in this specialty at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital. Previously, Holaday worked side-by-side with Kelly Miller, advanced practice registered nurse certified in wound care.
