STAFFORD COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

The Stafford County Board of County Commissioners met in regular session on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, in the Commission Room in the Annex. Chairman Wycoff called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. Present: Todd Wycoff, Bryce Garner, and Clayton Grimmett.

Larned’s PVMA passes vaccine survey with no deficiencies

Special to the News The recent vaccine-related survey at Pawnee Valley Medical Associates (PVMA), Larned, indicated the family-medicine clinic had zero deficiencies, reported Jewel Davis, clinic office manager. The Kansas Department of Health & Environment (KDHE) conducted its on-site Vaccines for Children (VFC) survey July 21.

SOUTH CENTRAL COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

Special to the News South Central Community Foundation (SCCF) is currently accepting grant applications for its annual grant cycle. Grants are available to any nonprofit, school, city, or church located in Barber, Comanche, Kingman, Kiowa, Pratt, Rice, or Stafford County.

BAGS TO BENCHES

Members of the Pratt Lions Club met August 12 at the Barron Theater in Pratt with former Youth Core Ministries Director and community champion Sheryl White for a special dedication ceremony. Together they celebrated the completion of the first Bags to Benches project for the Pratt club and the dedication of a fiber bench in memory of the late Jack Ewing, who was known as Mr. Pratt during his lifetime of service in the Pratt community, according to White.
