More than 1,000 people filtered in and out of Pratt’s Sixth Street Park for the inaugural Pratt JamFest last weekend, an event which had a mix of everything from a kid’s carnival, and arts and crafts fair, car show and even old school live music to keep everyone warm and dancing as Saturday evening temperatures dipped down.
Training Center (FLETC) concluded their two-week Use of Force Instructor Training Program today at the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center (KLETC). The program provided the attending officers with foundational information and skills to design, develop, deliver, and evaluate others making critical decisions related to using force.
Pratt City Commissioners heard additional information about the possibility of a railroad quiet zone from resident Cynthia Geesling at the October 3 regular meeting of the commission. At a prior meeting, during the open agenda portion, Geesling, had proposed the possibility of a quiet zone and commissioners asked City Manager Bruce Pinkall and City Attorney Regina Goff to pursue more information.

Skyline High School celebrated their 2022 Casino- themed Homecoming on Friday, October 7. They started off their celebration last Monday with dress-up days all week for their spirit week.
Pratt High School hosted annual fall homecoming events October 7, with the week prior a time of special spirit days and dress up following this year’s theme of “Game On.” Students voted Sam Bergner and Kena Sterling as king and queen for the 2022 festivities which included a traditional football game on Friday at Zerger Field.

Medical research based on actual records of hospitalizations and deaths in the early months of the pandemic clearly shows that substantially more deaths would have occurred if the schools would have been kept open.
