Let’s be Us this Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving. Thankfulness. Blessings. Oh I am trying to get there, but my heavy heart going into this week is dragging me down. I have friends in trouble, people I love are dealing with sickness, there is hopelessness that I cannot solve, financial stress is real. I’ve got a turkey in the freezer, plans for cream-cheese corn and all the other fixings, but how am I going to get a smile on my face with all the other confusion going on right now?

City makes appointments, recognizes awards

Pratt High School The annual community Drive to Thrive sponsored by Pratt High School Student Council ended November 17 with a total of more than 3,300 canned and non-perishable items being delivered to the Pratt County Food Bank. PHS Student Council wishes to thank everyone who helped to make this drive once again such a success.

Christmas displays await visitors at Pratt County Historical Museum

Christmas cookies, drinks, live holiday music and a glistening array of seasonal decorations await those who come to the Pratt County Historical Museum’s open house and Christmas extravaganza from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, December 4 at 208 S. Ninnescah, Pratt. “We’ve had so much fun preparing all the different areas for Christmas,” said museum director Charmaine Swanepoel. “It’s totally different every year and we just can’t wait to share the Christmas spirit with everyone.”
