Keep moving with the seniors in St. John

Activities for Sunflower Senior Center include toe nail clinic for January on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays, the 5th and 19th. Pitch playing pals gather on Wednesday afternoons. Other activities are “Keep It Moving” Class Monday and Thursday mornings, Coffee & Conversation on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. The afternoons are quieter with Rummykub games and jig saw puzzle enthusiasts. Always on the last Wed. afternoon is “bring a candy bar to play” BINGO, with grand prizes provided by St. John-Hudson Recreation Commission.

Local college showcases welding facility at open house event

pcc/pcc-welding-holds-openhouse- new-facility Pratt Community College held an open house on November 15, 2022 to showcase the newly remodeled PCC Welding Technology facility. The shop is located in Pratt, Kansas in the Pratt Regional Airport Industrial Park in the space formerly occupied by Pioneer Tank and Steel.

Broad range of agricultural topics discussed at FHSU forum

HAYS, Kan. - With an eye to the critical role agriculture plays in the lives of Kansans, Dr. Grady Dixon, dean of the Peter Werth College of Science, Technology and Mathematics, and Ken Rahjes, Kansas District 110 representative, launched a pilot agricultural forum. The event, held Monday in the FHSU Robbins Center, was funded by Fort Hays State University as part of its mission to serve Kansas residents.
