Small Business Saturday proves profitable in Mullinville

The town of Mullinville made the most of their growing reputation for being a unique arts and crafts destination stop this past weekend with a Small Business Saturday shopping event. Opening at 8 a.m., art and antique vendors showcased their wares in the Mullinville Antique Mall, and the response from locals and passersby was well worth the effort.

County employee health plans renewed

The Stafford County Board of County Commissioners met as a Board of Canvass on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2022. Chairman Wycoff called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. Present: Todd Wycoff, Bryce Garner, and Clayton Grimmett.

St. John Lady Tigers showing potential

This will be a year of big change for the Lady Tigers of St. John. The 2022-23 team loses four seniors to graduation, including their leading scorer and 3-pt % leader Darby Smith, who now plays for the Barton County Cougars. The Tigers return very little varsity experience, but Coach Danny Smith said he likes the potential of the young players coming on board.
