Smoky Hills PBS will air a day of local sports on New Year’s Day! The day will kick off at noon with the KSHSAA 8-Player State Football Championship (DI and DII). Next, will be The Jackie Stiles Story at 5:30 p.m. followed by the 2022 KS Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
The Angel Tree project, sponsored by Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) volunteers, a group who give so much to our community, has finished its 31st year of service in Pratt. This year, 97 families were assisted by a dedicated team of volunteers in finishing up their Christmas preparations.

It’s been a great year for Kiowa County residents and readers of the Kiowa County Signal. Picking a top story for the year wasn’t easy, but the reinstatement of Miss Kansas competitions in Greensburg increased opportunities for local contestants, and brought home a Miss Kansas crown. That was pretty significant.

The Stafford County Commissioners met in regular session on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, in the Commission Room in the Annex. Chairman Wycoff called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.
