Stafford County seniors brought in the new year with some card-playing fun. Those attending the New Years Eve Card Party included Dean Delp, Steve Schulz, Louis Graves, Connie Edwards, Janette Long, Carol Dobbins, Laura Rodarmel, S. Jean Treba, Terry and Jo Harris, Eugene Fox, Aiko Fox, S. Paulynn Instenes, Steve Young and Sandy Smith.

Pratt girls kick off New Year with solid wrestling team performances
To kick off the new year, the Pratt High School girl’s wrestling team, led by head coach Tate Thompson, traveled to Great Bend on January 5, where they faced the Panthers in a significant dual. Then they turned around and faced off with teams from around the state on January 7 in Dodge City.
Beaver Backers to host Soup Supper at Pratt Community College
The Pratt Community College Beaver Backers will host a Soup Supper on Thursday, January 19, beginning at 6 p.m. The supper will be held prior to the Beaver wrestling team competing in a dual vs Cowley Community College. The dual vs Cowley begins at 7 p.m.
Local students honored for college work
Justin Lamatsch of Pratt was among top scholars at Southwestern College in Winfield and at Southwestern College Professional Studies to be honored with inclusion in the fall 2022 semester Dean’s Honor Roll. Full-time students who earned grade point averages of at least 3.70 (4.0 equals an A) were eligible for the honor.
