Crossing the Threshold: God-winks are for believers

Every once and while something happens that just sets me back and I know, that was God. When I see a beautiful sunset, or when a gentle breeze rustles my cheek when I am out sitting on my golf cart, or when I see a flower so beautiful it just takes my breath away, I know, those are moments created by God. It’s called a God-wink.

Homecoming week, painting, now security seminar plans

Last week we only got to participate two days for spirit week with the schools, but we sure rooted for our hometown Greensburg team! Then we had a great afternoon here with Kelly Askew from 5.4.7 Arts Center doing a little fall painting class. Now we are getting ready to host a special cyber security seminar on Tuesday, September 23 from noon to 1 p.m. with The Peoples Bank on the warning signs of fraud. Thunderbird football ready to battle

Skyline High School Thunderbird football has finished up their first full week of practice through the last of the summer heat, moving toward full-pad, full-contact practice to prepare for the first game of the season. The Thunderbirds will field a balanced team with eight upper and lower classmen each. Long-time Head Coach Andrew Nation, who is in year nine at the helm, is assisted by Jalen Bassart, who is in his second season with the Thunderbirds.

Skyline volleyball adapts to the challenge

The Skyline High School volleyball has completed its first week of practice, and the word for the beginning of the season will be adaptability. Varsity positions are up for grabs, and there will be some major adjustments made in the line-up.

Pratt returns key runners in cross country

The Pratt High School cross country team has recently kicked off the 2025 season, with the team going through practice over the past two weeks. The team, which is returning several strong boys and girls, will look to make a big impact this fall.

PHS football prepares for 2025 with experienced seniors

The Pratt High School football team has officially begun practice for the 2025 season with the school year recently beginning. The team, which returns several key starters from last year’s squad, as well as a large incoming freshman class, is looking to have another successful year under Head Coach Brent Hoelting.
