Jesus tarried longer as he continued his visit with His “sheep of another fold”(1) in the new world. He had healed their sick, and had them bring their little children to Him, and He prayed with mighty prayer to His Father, and the people did witness His prayer, saying “The eye hath never seen, neither hath the ear heard, before, so great and marvelous things as we saw and heard Jesus speak unto the Father. No tongue”, they continued, “can speak, neither can there be written by any man, neither can the heart of man conceive so great and marvelous things as we both saw and heard Jesus speak; and no one can conceive of the joy which filled our souls at the time we heard him pray for us unto the Father.”(2)

Commerce announces new opportunity for transformative art in public spaces

TOPEKA – The Kansas Department of Commerce today announced the launch of an innovative program to support the enhancements of often overlooked public infrastructure to help drive economic growth and community vitality. The Transformative Art for Public Spaces (TAPS) grant will invest in projects that leverage creative placemaking to attract visitors, encourage local investment, and support small businesses. A total of $150,000 will be available.

USD 350 superintendent showcases student successes, looks ahead to possible bond projects

Last month, we proudly hosted our first Academic Showcase Night. Our community has always been incredibly supportive of events like ball games, concerts, and plays. However, many don’t often get a glimpse into the great work happening daily inside our classrooms. What we do in our schools goes far beyond sports and extracurriculars, and this event gave us an opportunity to highlight the academic excellence of our students and staff.

Thunderbird softball takes flight for 2025 season

Skyline Thunderbird softball is well underway with the prospects for the rest of the season looking very good. The Thunderbirds basically returned the team that went to state last season and added four additional players, one of which starts in right field. Cooper Wesley was a transfer this year and has been a positive addition to an already stellar line-up for the Birds.

Pratt track and field opens season at Andale

The Pratt High School track squad recently began the 2025 season with a solid performance at the annual Andale varsity meet. This year, a total of eight schools attended the meet, including tough ones in Bishop Carroll, Cheney, and Valley Center. However, Pratt still had several athletes produce successful results in multiple events.
