The Pratt High School’s (PHS) boys golf team won their first-ever Central Kansas League (CKL) conference championship this past weekend with Grant McAtee taking first place, followed by Beau Ferrell and Quinton Humble in second and third place respectively. Matthew Garnett and Hudson Rector rounded out the field of golfers representing Pratt High, as the team battled back and forth all afternoon with rival Hesston High School.
The Pratt High School boys’ golf team recently competed in two more tournaments with their regular season winding down. These were in Halstead at Wedgewood Golf Course on Tuesday, May 6, and the annual 36-hole tournament in Hillsboro/Marion on Friday, May 9.

My husband says that our kitchen at home is for resale value only. I really can cook but we eat out a lot anymore. Pratt is blessed to have many good places to indulge our appetites, and I find it harder to cook for just the two of us, or at least that sounds like a good excuse.

The monthly meeting of the Jolly Workers 4-H club was held on April 6th at 4pm at the St. John Annex. The meeting was called to order and pledges were led by Kyson Foote. The roll call question, what is the sound your favorite animal makes, was answered by 40 members, 3 leaders, and 1 guest. Chicken Jockey was the favorite answer.
