Our Creator is always waiting and willing to bring us back into right standing with Him. Jesus said in Matthew chapter 18 that He leaves the 99 to find the lost one and brings them back into the fold. How does He do this? He brings conviction into their conscience, they see where they have strayed away from His truth, and they repent and are sorrowful for their disobedience. “Repent, then, and turn back, so that your sins may be erased, so that times of refreshing may come from the Lord” Acts 3:19. Why does He do it? Because He loves you more than anything in the world.

These days, when you call any large company or medical provider (and even a few smaller ones right here in Pratt) you will probably be “vetted” by an automated virtual attendant, whose supposed purpose is to direct you to the human being who can best answer your question or concern.

It’s only been a few weeks since I got out of the truck. As I write this, I don’t exactly feel a strong urge to get back in. Well, that’s not entirely true. Once my son-in-law gets his pickup fixed and I get mine back, I’ll probably feel different.

The recent tornado that stretched from Greensburg to Plevna went right through the middle of our farm, missing our house and the farm shop by about a mile. The destruction of neighbors’ homes and loss of livestock is incredibly sad, but our entire community has rejoiced that no human lives were lost. Things can be replaced people can’t.

Memorial Day celebrations have come and gone for 2025, and along with the day, I fear many Americans forgot the purpose of the day. For some, it was a celebration of Summer’s arrival, but the purpose was intended to be that of honoring those who served our nation.
