Statewide initiative focuses on expanding dental care access

Pathways to Oral Health, a new statewide initiative and online resource hub, has launched to improve access to dental care for Kansans with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Backed by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment Division of Health Care Finance and in partnership with all three KanCare managed care organizations, the program offers tools and support to reduce barriers and foster more inclusive dental care across the state.

PRMC Fall Prevention Day in October requires early sign-up and planning

Bunched up rugs, a poorly placed extension cord, missing hand rails in the bathroom, or any number of other small problems can lead to preventable falls for the elderly. On Saturday, October 11, Pratt Regional Medical Center will lead a Pratt Community Fall Prevention Day to help prevent these types of falls. Early sign-up for this assistance and getting the word out to those who could use this help is a priority at this time, according to Stacey Hanson.
