Annual trip brings friends together again

There were no falling stars to view this year, but that was okay. The annual weekend at the cabin just outside of Historic Scott State Park—always planned to intersect with when the Perseid meteorite shower is at its height—has ended, and nobody went home disappointed.Tradition brought everyone together for one more year: Verlyn, the weekend’s founder; Jack, his cousin; Marcia, his classmate from Berean Academy; and, me, his friend from Biking Across Kansas (going back to the early 2000s).What makes Scott special?
