City workers clean up damage from tree roots

City of Pratt street crews have been busy taking down large trees and repairing damage to streets and sidewalks cause by those large tree roots all around town.Last month, Public Works Department employees Brent Wittig, Keith Kissell, Skylar Stalcup, and Nick Lauffer replaced a section of road at the intersection of Champa and Cleveland streets in Pratt.

A group of Pratt High School students participated in the Fort Hays State Math Relays last week, finishing 9th as a team up against numerous 4A, 5A and 6A schools.Individually, Cade Clarkson finished 3rd in Using Number Sense, 3rd in Algebraic Manipulations and 5th in Calculations with Calculators.
